Apple Cake with Carmel Creme Frosting

Complete recipe with instructions and measurements:

PREPARATION 30 minutes
Cook TIME 35-40 minutes


*2 1/2 cups almond flour (225 grams)
*3/4 cup sugar (73 grams)
*1 tsp baking powder (3 grama)
*1 tsp baking soda (6 grams)
*1/2 tsp salt (2 grams)
*1/2 tsp cinnamon (2 grams)
*1/2 tsp nutmeg (2 grams)
*3/4 cup applesauce (191 grams)
*1/4 cup unsalted room temputure butter (28 grams)
*2 eggs (100 grams)
*1/2 cup chopped peeled apples (87 grams)
*1/4 cupchopped walnuts (28 grams)


Carmel Creame Frosting Ingredients

*1/2 cup unsalted room tempurture butter (56 grams)
*1 cup brown suagr (98 grams)
*1/4 cup low-fat milk (almond unsweetened) (60 grams)
*1 cup miniature marshmallows (50 grams)
*2 cups confection sugar (250 grams)
*1/2 tsp vanillia extract (2 grams)



*Preheat the over to 350°F
*Comnine dry ingredients in mixing bowl with mixer.
*Almond flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg.

*Mix stand mixer level 2 for a few seconds until combined.
*Add in apple sauce, butter and eggs.
*Turn on stand mixer on level 2 for 1 minute.
*Stop, and scrape side of the bowl.
*Turn to level 2 mix for 30 seconds.
*Add in peeled apples and walnuts.
*Mix “ONLY” until corporated, not long, a few seconds!!!
*In a 9” cake pan, spray non-cooking spray and spread flower.
*Lay on top parchement paper and spray non-cooking spray to unsure bottom does not stick.

*Pour batter into pan, spread evenly. This takes out any extra air bubbles in the batter.

*Pound the cake pan, by dropping it to the countertop, do this a few times.

*Bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes.
*Use a toothpick insert in center it comes out clean!
*Cool for 30 minutes!
*Frost with caramel creame frosting.

*Melt butter in a medium saucepan.
*Add brown sugar and milk.
*Stir to blended. Heat to boiling.
*Cook for 1 minute. Stir constantly. Turn down heat to low.
*Add in marshmallows.
*Stir until marshmallows melt and mixture smooth.
*In a bowl with the confection sugar. Add your brown sugar mixture and vanillia extract.

*Mix until nice and creamy.
*Spread on cake.
*Let frosting set for 15-20 minutes.
*Now you can enjoy your cake. You waitied long enough, RIGHT?
